I grew up on a mixed farm near Coonamble NSW. This upbringing shaped me into the person I am today and started my passion for agriculture and science. I have developed a love for plant production, especially in cereal crops through previous jobs working in grain quality and control.
This year is my third year at the University of New England studying Rural Science. I have enjoyed learning about all aspects across many different industries. I have recently attended an international agribusiness study tour to the USA that has broadened my horizons. It has helped to understand how other countries operate and how Australian industries compare. I hope that upon completion of my degree, I will move into research and development, improving yields and genetics.
I am extremely grateful to AgriFutures Australian and the GRDC for being awarded this scholarship and opportunity. I look forward to connecting with like-minded peers and working on my professional development through the program.
