I’m from a sheep and cropping property in the Riverina region of NSW. Growing up on the property, I’ve always had a strong passion for agriculture— especially Ag tech and how it can help us grow better crops in more sustainable ways.
That interest led me to study a Bachelor of Agricultural Science at the University of Queensland, where I’m currently in my second-year majoring in agronomy. Alongside my studies, I’ve been working with a company that uses satellite technology to map weeds — an experience that’s opened my eyes to what’s possible with technology in the future of farming.
I’m honoured to be a recipient of the AgriFutures Horizon Scholarship, proudly sponsored by Grain Research and Development Corporation. It’s a huge opportunity that will give me a real leg up in my career — from collaborating with industry professionals to gaining invaluable experience through work placements and connecting with other passionate, like-minded scholars.
