I grew up in the Southern Riverina, in Deniliquin NSW, where my family has been farming cereals, lamb/wool and more recently rice, for 4 generations. Agriculture has always been a passion of mine, and I strive to be as involved in agricultural industries as I can be.
After completing my schooling in Deniliquin, I worked on a beef feedlot to further my knowledge in agriculture and to foster my interest in production Animal Medicine.
I am currently studying Veterinary Science and am passionate about the role of veterinarians in supporting animal health, welfare, and production. Upon graduating, I aspire to work in rural practice, assisting producers in optimizing livestock health and productivity. Veterinarians play a crucial role in the sustainability, productivity and future of Australian agriculture, and I am eager to contribute to the industry in a meaningful way.
When I am not studying in Wagga Wagga, I am either farming back in Deniliquin or contract harvesting throughout central NSW.
I am incredibly grateful to AgriFutures for awarding me this Horizon Scholarship and for the opportunities it provides. I look forward to engaging with industry leaders, expanding my knowledge, and building connections that will help shape my future in agriculture.
