This publication reports on a forum which RIRDC sponsored to explore the implementation of a voluntary national land management certification system as a new approach.
The project findings report that there is a broadly based support for the introduction of a voluntary land management certification system and that representatives of a wide array of organisations agree on the basic design features of such a system. There was however some opposition to the concepts expressed at the meeting. Some stakeholders do not want a uniform national system and are arguing for other approaches.
