DownloadThere are many studies devoted to understanding the benefits to businesses who embrace diversity in the workplace. We know a little bit about the breakdown of diversity within agriculture but most studies focus on their contribution. This research specifically focused on understanding who are the decision makers in the sector and what is the opportunity cost of not harnessing diversity and conversely, what can be achieved when we do. The research looked at gender, age, language, culture and Indigenous status of decision-makers in rural businesses, industry peak bodies and larger corporate agribusinesses.
