DownloadTBA Learning is the Australian thoroughbred breeding industry’s home for online learning. This dedicated learning platform, owned and managed by Thoroughbred Breeders Australia (TBA), supports prospective employees seeking to enter the industry, and early- and mid-career employees already building their careers. Its goal is to expose industry staff to, and train them in, concepts and practices that positively impact horse and human welfare.
TBA Learning helps farms onboard new staff and supports continuing education for employees seeking to expand their knowledge. The platform currently features 20 learning modules across four courses – horse foundation; horse handling, horse health; and biosecurity. The modules are free and are designed to be completed in one or two sittings. Each includes text, videos, images and a quiz.
However, to continue the positive impact that TBA Learning is having, new modules and courses needed to be developed. This project developed four, upload-ready modules on topics that industry consultation identified as being learning priorities. Of particular interest is education for people who own, or are interested in owning, an off-the-track thoroughbred (OTTB).
