This report draws on all available industry data across 42,500ha and individual nitrogen, water use (where available) and yield by paddock records for almost 10,000ha. Key outcomes of this data collection are yield by timing, quality analysis, nitrogen use efficiency and an overview of water use, all with the aim of improving water use efficiency and crop system profitability.
In addition to industry data analysis, this report includes a summary of paddock focussed research activities including the UNE Rice Management Dashboard, agronomy, weed control and precision water management. In addition, there are detailed
and relevant case studies on;
- Focus Site activities and results for CY25,
- results and analysis of rice-on-rice crops,
- details of high yielding 15T+ crops, and
- rice quality analysis
