Summary

AHBIC will implement a communications strategy
which aims to complement outcomes of PRO-016302, Resilient beekeepers in the
face of Varroa Project. Through the extension and dissemination of educational
materials and additional resources to be developed, focusing on increasing
understanding of beekeeping with Varroa in Australia based on international
expertise. The outcome will be a vitally important educational resource to
minimise impacts of Varroa on the Australian beekeeping industry.

Objective Summary

AHBIC will help the
Australian beekeeping industry to build their understanding of Varroa, learn
how to reduce Varroa levels and remain a productive and profitable industry
through completion of the following objectives:
• Develop
a specific landing platform within the honeybee.org.au webpage, with various
functionalities to support the resources
• Host
the project factsheets and articles.
• Finalise
the coordination of international Varroa interviewee list to conduct recorded
conversational style webinars and podcasts.
• Upload
the final versions to be provided by Agrifutures.
• Support
and promote the project through social media to drive awareness of all
resources.
