Travel Bursary – 2025 Hort Connections – Jason Keating

Summary

Hort Connections, hosted by Hort Innovation Australia, is the premiere horticulture conference and trade show in Australia and New Zealand. It boasts a choice of engaging field trips, an extensive trade floor, insightful speaker sessions and historically well-attended networking events.

The event will be held in Brisbane this year at the Brisbane Convention Centre.
Hort Innovation provides travel bursaries for 100 of their own levy payers. As Hort Innovation does not collect the ginger levy, ginger growers are excluded from the Hort Innovation bursary. This condition was brought to AgriFutures as an opportunity.

The AgriFutures Ginger Program is pleased to sponsor up to 5 ginger levy-payer growers to attend the 2025 Hort Connections conference.

The sponsorship will cover, for each grower, the conference pass, field tour, Perfection Fresh breakfast entry and Gala Dinner entry.

Successful applicants are asked to report their experience and takeaways to the Ginger Advisory Panel.

Objective Summary

The AgriFutures Ginger Program can will fund up to 5 conference tickets. For each successful applicant, the ticket will include:
• $400 – grower conference pass
• $150 – pre-conference field tour of their choice
• $125 – Perfection Fresh Breakfast
• $260 – Gala Dinner

The Program can also fund accommodation, for growers based further away and cannot commute each day to the conference.
Allowing $1000 per grower, for 4 nights’ accommodation.
