This AgriFutures Australia short report introduces and describes bioenergy. It is designed to provide rural producers and farmers a working understanding of this alternative energy technology and how they can use it to replace conventional energy sources.
This short report is the fourth in a series on alternative energy opportunities for rural producers and farmers. The series has been developed to help those at the heart of Australian agriculture make informed decisions about alternative energy options. Some topics raised in this report will be relevant to other alternative energy technologies.
The first report provided an overview of alternative energy technologies and why rural industries are or may be looking to them to meet their future energy needs. The second report looked at solar PV systems, while the third was about battery storage. Other reports as part of the series discuss wind energy and hydrogen.
