The AgriFutures Australia New & Emerging Plant & Animal Research, Development and Extension (RD&E) Programs invest in projects targeted at a broad range of new, emerging and developing Australian plant and animal industries.
The purpose of the impact assessment of AgriFutures’ investments is to assist with portfolio management. In that regard, AgriFutures conducts impact assessments of its programs as they near the end of their three to five-year RD&E plans. This process not only provides accountability to the AgriFutures Board, its levy paying industries and Government, but also can be used as an input into the development of the next RD&E plan should program investment be continued.
