Chinese cabbage is the most significant Asian vegetable currently grown in Australia. There is a significant domestic demand for this crop and substantial exports are also taking place from several states. The export market depends heavily on providing product during the Northern Hemisphere off-season. This report has the results of several years research which aimed to identify which cultivars can provide these product requirements at specific times of the year for three regions in Victoria.
