Although disease due to Mycoplasma gallisepticum is effectively controlled by the use of strain ts-11 as a vaccine, this cannot be presumed to continue indefinitely, as past experience with Marek’s disease vaccines has demonstrated. In addition, recent work in this research group’s laboratory has demonstrated that M. gallisepticum vaccine strains may be used to deliver antigens to the respiratory tract of the bird. The aim of this project was to collaborate with several international laboratories in the determination and analysis of the genomic sequence of Mycoplasma gallisepticum. 2004, 13 pp, Pub.
