This research focuses on the largest Language other than English (LOTE) group involved with the Asian vegetable industry in Victoria and comprises growers with a Vietnamese background. The research builds on the gains of previous RIRDC-funded work and provides further training in chemical use as well as training in quality assurance.
There is an increased focus on production practice and developing the skills of the Vietnamese growers. It also aimed to improve chemical management and pest and disease management skills.
The methodology and information contained in the report could also be applied to LOTE communities in other production areas and industries..
