Extension and advisory strategies for agroforestry

Although various agroforestry extension and advisory programs have been developed to
facilitate the wider adoption of agroforestry, there has been little systematic assessment of
their scope and effectiveness. This report provides an overview and assessment of current
extension and advisory strategies for agroforestry in Australia, together with
recommendations for the future.
The report is based on a literature review together with information obtained from interviews
and focus group discussions with various stakeholders. The conclusions and
recommendations should contribute to the planning of further initiatives in this field.
