The RIRDC Horse Program is supported by voluntary industry funding from a broad spectrum of horse owners, breeders and industry groups, with the thoroughbred racing industry the major contributor.
Horse health issues targeted include laminitis, airway diseases, and mechanisms behind early abortion. Significant contributions have been made to improving jockey health and safety.
