The information detailed in this report is important, not only because of its content, but also because it is the first research project undertaken by the redclaw industry for the redclaw industry. The objective of the research was to produce a strain of redclaw that is faster growing, genetically diverse and free of disease (the Tolga strain). The primary target audience of this report is the redclaw industry itself. It is proof that research targeting identified key issues can have a major impact on whether a redclaw farm is a success or a failure.
