Project Overview
Reducing the impact of Nosema and viruses by improving honeybee nutrition
1 August 2015 – 14 December 2017
This research analysed Nosema spp. and viruses in response to supplementary pollen feeding and different autumn foraging environments. The findings highlight the potential for increasing pollen availability in autumn as a disease management strategy, but question the cost-benefit of achieving this through prophylactic use of pollen supplements.
