Rice Improvement III is a continuing research investment aimed at meeting the challenges of climate change, water efficiency, market access, food security and value adding for the NSW rice industry. It has and will continue to add to productivity and profitability of an important rural industry, contribute to sustainability and sustain a viable regional economy.
The benefits from this ongoing research effort flow to the farmers, the regional communities in the rice production area and the Australian economy through the generation of more than $500 million in value-added exports annually.
