Summary
This project builds on the findings and scope of the CRA by creating a replicable framework and methodology to perform commodity-agnostic climate impact pinch point assessments. The framework will allow any agricultural industry to identify cross-industry pinch points with cascading effects, climate adaptation dependencies and coordinated research opportunities. The framework would also define system boundaries, outline the dependency mapping approach and suggest scenario parameters. Further, the project will conduct case studies for 1 or 2 system pinch points (such as water allocation) in which the framework is applied. Additionally, the case studies will present examples of how the identified cross-industry research opportunities would positively support climate adaptation.
The CRA laid the foundation for a more in-depth discussion cross-industry climate impact pinch points and sector-wide adaptation. This project would look beyond direct climate risks to AgriFutures LEI portfolio and consider key elements of the agricultural value chain to which climate change impacts pose extraordinary risks and opportunities. Additionally, this project would provide recommendations for potential cross-industry research opportunities.

Objective Summary
1. Create a replicable commodity-agnostic assessment methodology and framework to identify crucial climate impact system pinch points and cross-industry research opportunities
2. Test the framework on 1-2 identified system pinch points and profile a sample of cross-industry research opportunities
