Summary

An economic analysis of funding models to support Tea Tree Oil Industry consideration of levy alternatives would include stakeholder liaison, identification of options, economic assessment of options and recommendations on a preferred funding model. Stakeholder liaison would include discussions with the DAFF Levies Revenue Service, DAFF Horticulture Policy and industry including Pat Bolster and Tony Larkman. Options would include voluntary and statutory alternatives along with consideration of appropriate collection points. Economic analysis would include social and environmental considerations and the preferred model would be reviewed informally at the planned 5YP workshop.
