Theme three of the Carbon Initiative Program aims to deliver market development pathways for producers—from identifying policy and regulatory barriers, to exploring new models and corporate partnerships e.g. evolving consumer and retailer expectations and corporate, social and governance (CSG) responsibilities.
Projects explored the capacity to deliver practical information outlining what the future trends are, identify strategies and changes required to keep pace with expectations and provide practical case studies of how to achieve change, including what success looks like.

The project examined the complex, net zero-driven market dynamics that are beginning to act on Australian agriculture and recommended actionable pathways for producers to enhance the competitive positioning of their businesses.

This project analysed the threats and opportunities for the agriculture sector in relation to net zero emissions targets and developed an online decision making tool for producers to help them navigate opportunities and find the right one for their business and risk appetite.
