Background
AgriFutures Australia is currently recruiting for individuals to form part of the AgriFutures Emerging Industries Technical Advisory Group (approximately 8 individuals).
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals to be involved in Australia’s new and emerging rural industries, by providing feedback and assessment of stakeholder RD&E ideas and applications, as well as technically assessing project outputs where required.
The Emerging Industries Program is looking for applicants that have skills and experience in any of the following:
- Plant industry experience, including tree crops, grains and horticulture, specifically industrial hemp, sesame, hazelnuts, coffee, jackfruit and quandong
- Aquatic industry experience, particularly seaweed, macro- and micro-algae
- Animal industry experience, specifically crocodiles and black soldier fly
- Fungi experience, specifically truffles
- First Nations engagement, including strong ability and knowledge of Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP) and best practice
- Intellectual property and commercialisation
- Commodity production, or processing
- Economics or social sciences
- Industry development and market pathways
- Innovation and agtech
- Science technology or technology transfer
- Scientific methodology
- Statistical analysis
- The administration of research and development
