AgriFutures Australia is seeking applications for the delivery of management services for the Rural Safety and Health Alliance (RSHA).

Background
The Rural Safety & Health Alliance (RSHA) is a collaborative partnership between seven Research and Development Corporations (RDCs)* that aims to improve health and safety on Australian farms.
The management services for the Rural Safety and Health Alliance are for a period of three years, from 01 July 2025 to 30 June 2028.
Prospective applicants should have a good understanding of the agricultural, fisheries and forestry sector as well as in-depth knowledge of the rural health, safety and wellbeing (HSW) ecosystem.
*The RSHA is jointly funded by AgriFutures Australia, Australian Eggs Limited, Australian Pork Limited, Australian Wool Innovation, Cotton Research and Development Corporation, Dairy Australia and Grains Research & Development Corporation.
Service requirements
The successful tenderer will have responsibility for delivering the secretariat function of the RSHA, including organising all meeting logistics. Key to the role is the capacity to build and maintain strong and productive relationships with key groups, such as FarmSafe Australia, to drive collaborative action, priority setting and to create a two-way information flow.
Core functions of the role include:
- Connector: identify RD&E gaps and foster partnerships.
- Strategic Leader: support the RSHA’s vision for healthy, safe, and productive working lives.
- Support Services: connect RSHA members with the latest research and provide advice.
- Management Services: ensure smooth operation and effective management of the group.
- Project Management: develop and oversee projects addressing RSHA priorities
AgriFutures Australia will oversee the Provider Agreement and handle all funding and meeting costs. This part-time role is expected to require no more than two days per week.

Terms of reference
AgriFutures Australia uses standard form contracts and agreements for projects and research procured by AgriFutures Australia. These contracts and agreements set out the terms on which AgriFutures Australia will engage successful applicants to carry out the project.
Applicants must be familiar with the contracts and agreements before submitting a response and are advised to seek legal advice beforehand.
These contracts and agreements have been developed to reflect AgriFutures Australia’s statutory and other procurement responsibilities.
If you require any amendments to the standard agreement, please complete the statement of non-compliance for each of the relevant clause. AgriFutures will then assess those requests.
Applicants will be taken to have agreed to all clauses in the Provider Agreement that are not referred to in a statement of non-compliance. The extent of any non-compliance will be a factor in AgriFutures Australia’s evaluation of the application.
