The AgriFutures Australia Rural Women’s Award is Australia’s leading award acknowledging, celebrating and supporting the essential role women play in rural industries, businesses and communities.
Over the past 25 years, the Award has gained a significant profile and is recognised as a program of influence among parliamentarians, industry, media and Award alumni. Each State and Territory Winner receives a $15,000 Westpac grant for their project, business or program, access to professional development opportunities and alumni networks.
AgriFutures Australia is committed to the future growth and advancement of the Award as a means of identifying, celebrating and empowering women. The Rural Women’s Award is one of many AgriFutures Australia initiatives ensuring our rural industries prosper now, and into the future.
The Rural Women’s Award is a leadership and capacity building program as well as a competition, resulting in a winner and a runner up. The program and workshops entail a number of activities including presentation training, resilience training, national interview and judging process, filming etc. You will work with AgriFutures to help develop the theme.

On Tuesday, 9 September 2025 (TBC), we host a black tie RWA Gala Dinner. The evening has over 500 guests and aims to celebrate the achievements of the rural women. Throughout the night, before the National Winner is announced, we show videos of the seven finalists. This is the main entertainment for the evening. Videos will be shown on two large screens in the Great Hall at Parliament House. The Gala Dinner is a prestigious event. The audience is made up of:- Parliamentarians

Terms of reference
AgriFutures Australia uses standard form contracts and agreements for suppliers, projects and research procured by AgriFutures Australia. These contracts and agreements set out the terms on which AgriFutures Australia will engage successful supplier and/or applicants to carry out the project.
Applicants must be familiar with the contracts and agreements before submitting a response, and are advised to seek legal advice beforehand.
These contracts and agreements have been developed to reflect AgriFutures Australia’s statutory and other procurement responsibilities.
If you require any amendments to the standard agreement, please complete the statement of non-compliance for each of the relevant clause. AgriFutures will then assess those requests.
Applicants will be taken to have agreed to all clauses in the Service Provider Agreement that are not referred to in a statement of non-compliance. The extent of any non-compliance will be a factor in AgriFutures Australia’s evaluation of the application.

To make a submission:
- Read the full RFQ document
- Familiarise yourself with the Terms of reference
- Complete Schedule 2 section in the RFQ document and include it in your quote/response
- Create a draft concept for the Gala Dinner being held at the Great Hall, Australia Parliament House in your submission. Access the link to the graphic design elements here to be used as a guide.
- Submit your quote/response via email to by 5pm AEDT sharp on Monday, 31 March 2025.
The successful quotation will then be sent an AgriFutures Australia Service Provider Agreement and milestone payments will be included. In this Service Provider Agreement, there will also be an option to extend.

The Manager will take questions via email. Individual responses to questions relating to the RFQ will not be provided. A response, along with the question, will be posted in the Frequently Asked Questions section below, within 24 hours of submission. Please refer to the FAQ section below in case your query has already been addressed.
FAQs
The full RFQ document asked for submissions by Monday 31st February (with a date of brief 6th Jan), however the current advertised closing date is the 31st March, is that correct?
Yes, apologies there was an error in the original RFQ document which has now been amended. The submission date is Monday, 31 March.
With regards to the resources and budget, does my quote need to allow for the physical cost of flowers, centerpieces etc?
Yes
Does our budget quote also need to allow for our travel to/from the event including accommodation?
Travel and accommodation can be on top of the budget amount.
Is the budget of $30k for professional fees including per diems, and the theming budget is in addition to this amount?
The hire of install is on top of the budget amount but the cost of labour and goods is included.
