evokeAG. is returning to the iconic Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne, Australia on 18-19 February 2020. Our inaugural event was a sell-out and those people wishing to attend in 2020 are encouraged to secure their early bird tickets online to guarantee their spot in new conversations on the event’s three key themes: food, farm and future.
AgriFutures Australia Managing Director, John Harvey said evokeAG. 2020 will deliver new speakers, a fresh program and even more opportunities for collaborative thinking to change our future.
“This is our opportunity to showcase on an international stage all that is great in agrifood tech across Australia but it’s also an opportunity to really shape our culture of innovation.
“evokeAG. 2019 taught us that we need to build our culture of sharing and collaboration within our agrifood tech ecosystem. We can’t work in silos if we want to elevate our innovation system and become more competitive,” said Mr Harvey.
The Festival of Food, the highly rated networking event will make a return and once again, evokeAG. will attract the entire agrifood tech ecosystem – leaders, farmers, innovators, accelerators, researchers, universities, corporates, government and investors. Evolving from the 2019 Pitch Tent and Startup Alley Programs, in 2020 the Startup Program for evokeAG. will showcase domestic and international startups and scale-ups, providing a platform to showcase their technologies, build their customer base and create deal flow and investment into the agrifood tech sector.
Co-founder and CEO of Platfarm, Oli Madgett from McLaren Vale SA said evokeAG. is where serendipitous connections take place.
“The digital ecosystem of agtech startups were finally in the one spot and I could make these important connections face-to-face. We are now actively collaborating with people we met at evokeAG. The event cemented important relations, which is critical for any startup.”
2019 delegate, and Business Development Associate at Hummingbird Technologies UK, Jake Willis Fleming, summed up the inaugural 2019 evokeAG. as the best agtech event he has ever been to.
“All of the great and the good from the agtech ecosystem were present. Not just the companies, but crucially, the decision makers from those companies.”
evokeAG. 2020 will also see a stronger producer presence. This will be helped along by a new two-day primary producer discounted ticket type.
