How Advisory Panel Recruitment works
Members are selected through an open call process, which includes a competitive skills-based assessment and consultations with key industry bodies and stakeholders. We aim to maintain geographical, age and gender diversity to ensure that the Advisory Panel appropriately represents the industry. Current opportunities will be listed below when they are live.
Successful applicants are appointed by the Managing Director of AgriFutures Australia, and are required to declare any actual or perceived conflict of interest prior to appointment, which are managed in accordance with AgriFutures Australia’s Conflict of Interest Policy where relevant.
The initial term of appointment for Advisory Panel Members is three years, with a maximum of two consecutive terms applicable to any member. To maintain corporate knowledge:
- only up to half the membership of an Advisory Panel is changed at any one time, and
- members may be retained beyond two terms, depending on the industry, to ensure the availability of scarce expertise.
You can find the Advisory Panel Code of Conduct and Terms of Reference on our on our Corporate Governance page. These documents provide a more detailed overview of how the Panels function.
