An integrated typing service for the surveillance of Salmonella in chickens

Contamination of poultry products by Salmonella can lead to public health problems.Tracing of S. enterica involved in such outbreaks is paramount in order to protect the public and prevent further episodes. It is therefore of vital importance that the methods involved in tracing such outbreaks are rapid and accurate. Research such as in this report demonstrates the Australian chicken meat industry has a commitment to food safety.
This report is targeted at the Australian chicken meat industry and food safety authorities.
