This report introduces the EcoRange project by describing its objectives, components and methodologies. It then identifies the separate project reports that present information on the expectations and views of supply-chains and other stakeholder groups for the production of food and fibre. This report outlines domestic and international market potential and requirements for ‘environment-friendly’ food and fibre, describes supply-chain and stakeholder requirements for assurances of the ‘environment-friendly’ attributes of food and fibre, identifies one or more forms of environmental assurance that are capable of delivering stakeholder requirements, and presents a domestic marketing strategy for ‘environment-friendly’ food and fibre.
