DownloadIn a global first, the Defining terroir of Australian coffee to increase demand and investment project has developed a coffee character wheel to standardise acidity, mouthfeel and aftertaste sensory terms. The terroir has also been defined for Australian-grown coffee.
The Coffee Character Wheel aims to unify the vocabulary used for describing the acidity, mouthfeel and aftertaste of coffee.
The coffee character wheel is intended to be used in parallel with the Speciality Coffee Association (SCA) coffee tasters’ flavour wheel to assist coffee researchers and professionals communicate the entire coffee sensory experience.
