DownloadVery little agronomic research (replicated and rigorous) has been conducted in Australia on pomegranates. Learnings to date have been developed based on international literature and on-farm trial and error.
As identified in the Australian Pomegranate Management Guide, there are many universal principles that can be applied to any horticultural tree crop to guide nutrition, irrigation and orchard management. These include monitoring soil and tree health through regular testing to identify issues early on and applying corrective measures as required (i.e. more or less water and specific fertilisers).
