Commercial production of pomegranates in Australia began in the early 2000s and by 2021 the industry had an estimated gross value of production of $10.4 million. The market for Australian pomegranates is growing and includes whole fresh fruit, juices, ready-to-eat and frozen arils, and nutraceuticals.
