This project has the aim of further improving fumigation techniques for disinfestation of
wildflowers. Methods of reducing the exposure time required for fumigations have been
investigated, particularly the impact of using additional carbon dioxide in fumigations. Further data
has been generated extending the ranges of insects and wildflowers treated. This data, together with
that obtained previously, has resulted in registration of ECO2FUMEâ for post harvest disinfestation
of cut flowers.
