The rice industry is a significant irrigated industry in NSW worth $300m at the farm gate and $800m value added with rice underpinning rotations and farm income. Research is needed to improve profitability and sustainability of rice farm businesses.
This RIRDC report outlines results from a project for improving the profitability and sustainability of the rice industry and extension activities for communicating rice research and best practices to rice farmers and industry stakeholders.
