Litter reuse (raising multiple batches of chickens on the same litter) is a safe and beneficial practice when managed correctly. Concerns around pathogens, dust and odour have been raised, but recent Australian research has been completed to address these concerns. This guide summarises that recent research, providing a strong evidence base for litter reuse, and directing interested readers to more detailed research reports.
