The Delta Downs aggregation (‘Delta Downs’ or the ‘aggregation’) includes three adjoining properties in Queensland’s Gulf Country. These properties are Delta Downs, Maggieville Outstation and Karumba Downs. The aggregation covers approximately 390,000 hectares and runs 40,000 – 45,000 cattle, depending on seasonal conditions and time of year. The business is run from the Delta Downs Station.
The aggregation breeds steers and heifers for the live export trade and re-stocking operations in the Central Highlands of Queensland. Cows and bulls culled for age and quality are also sold direct to the meatworks in Townsville. The Traditional Owners of the land encompassing the Delta Downs aggregation are the Kurtjar people.
