This report aims to increase understanding of soil processes and develop practical indicators of these processes by investigating the effects of contrasting tillage and stubble management practices on soil fauna at two sites in the wheat belt of south-east Australia. The results of statistical analyses of selected attributes of the data are presented. Possible implications of the results for management of soils in agriculture are discussed, and the potential for future research is considered.
