The report presents case studies of rural school community partnerships in five very different rural communities. Each case study outlines the nature and extent of the partnership, and analyses the influence of leadership and other factors on the development and sustainability of the partnership. Drawing on findings from the case studies, the report then develops a model of the leadership process for developing school community partnerships, and identifies a number of indicators of effective school and community partnerships and effective leadership.
