This report was prepared as part of a national project to characterise the range of
hydrogeological processes involved in salinisation potential and management. It represents
the culmination of two workshops held in Canberra on 21-22 April and 7th October 1997.
These aimed to achieve consensus between state and research agency perspectives on the
range of conceptual models of salinisation processes used across the country.
