The oilseed industry is the most rapidly expanding of all the major agricultural enterprises in Australia. It is currently dominated by Canola (Brassica napus), which is grown on over 250,000 hectares in southern Australia. The main aims of the project were to introduce new edible, therapeutic and industrial oil seed options to Australia.
