This report, prepared by the Queensland Department of Primary Industries, presents the findings of a worksop aimed at determining which of the many commercially under-exploited crops have the best commercial prospects and hence warant R&D support from RIRDC.

Members of the industry and reserarch community together short listed rambutan, mangosteen, durian, longan and abiu as the “best bets” among 40-odd crops and identified the issues that will need to be researched if these crops are to develop and prosper.
