This report is about enabling commercial production of red bayberry in Australia by providing greater knowledge of suitable growing regions, clonal propagation, postharvest handling, and agronomic practices. Red bayberry (Myrica rubra) is a summer season fruit crop from the South-Eastern provinces of China. Establishment of a red bayberry industry in Australia offers the opportunity to provide counter-seasonal production for the rapidly expanding Chinese market whilst introducing a new fruit to the palate of the Australian consumer.
