Red bayberry (Myrica rubra) is a summer season fruit crop from the South-Eastern provinces of China. Establishment of a red bayberry industry in Australia offers the opportunity to provide counter-seasonal production for the rapidly expanding Chinese market whilst introducing a new fruit to the palate of the Australian consumer.
