Extension material for AgriFutures Thoroughbred Horses Program

Resistance to antibiotics used to treat horses is increasing. Resistant bacteria can spread from horses to humans (and humans to horses). When bacteria develop resistance to antibiotics, we lose a valuable tool to treat infections and disease — in our horses and in humans.
