The Equine R&D Advisory Committee has given great attention in its four years of operation
to the dissemination of new information, generated not only by researchers supported by the
RIRDC Equine R&D program but also by researchers in other parts of the world. We are
committed to ensuring that the funds supporting projects give the maximum benefit.
To determine major areas of concern, a large survey of 3,500 horse owners in all areas of the
horse industry, was undertaken. This was a key tool in development of the five year research
