The changing structure of farm businesses has significant potential implications for rural communities. This report summarises the key findings of a workshop held with policy-makers on this subject and identifies a number of areas in need of further research. The completion of research on these topics will enable rural communities and governments to identify, and plan for, changes associated with the emerging structure of Australian agriculture.
