This makes the industry especially vulnerable to international market forces over which it has no control (international exchange rates, international import requirements etc) and to international competition from the world’s largest industry and close neighbour, New Zealand.
International and domestic market access continues to be compromised by a lack of understanding or acceptance of market requirements.
