Summary
A prototype system (AFIA ChemCheck) has been developed in project PRJ-000642 to significantly reduce the chances of hay that is exported from Australia being rejected because MRL values that are exceeded for prescribed or other chemicals in importing countries. The capability of the system has been demonstrated within the current project, but it needs further development and interaction with exporters and their growers to fully demonstrate its value to the industry and ensure that it is sufficiently robust for full adoption across the export fodder industry.
