Summary

The tour will provide excellent and practical information on the use of technology in pasture systems to enable further increases in adoption. The PPS group are low to moderately digitally literate. The wider associate PPS group is an excellent platform to extend the key learnings from the tour. The project manager will use the tour to extend key learnings to the wider PPS audience which is hoped to increase the digital literacy of the group.

Objective Summary

AgTech is prophesised to be the 4th revolution to Agriculture as we know it, enabling PPS producers the information required to be part of the early majority of adopters of AgTech. This will enable them to invest in technologies. These technologies have the capacity to increase their; decision making skills, business profitability, work life balance and animal husbandry practices. The main outcome of the tour will be an increase in digital literacy, this outcome is projected regardless of the base line digital literacy of participants. A secondary outcome of this tour will be the adoption of technologies by not just the smaller tour group but also the wider PPS group with the extension of key learnings through the PPS network. Host producers will be asked to provide information on their process for researching the technology that they have implemented to ensure that their technology best fits its intended process. This research and planning is seen as crucial to support the successful adoption of AgTech.
