Summary

This project will support producers on their agtech journey by exposing them to new AWS technology that is accompanied by an app that provides instant alerts and data interpretation. The project will provide training to producers in how to integrate AWS data into their management decisions, thereby providing exposure to a value proposition that has otherwise not been realised as shown by the low levels of AWS adoption across the region. It is expected that by word-of-mouth growers will provide their own feedback to non-group members in surrounding areas and beyond, thus increasing adoption levels beyond the immediate group.

Objective Summary

We expect to see 1) increased levels of awareness and acceptance of AWS technology;2) improved understanding of how this technology can provide better visibility of spatial variability in key meteorological conditions and 3) improved understanding in how this improved visibility can be used to streamline and optimise production decisions.
