AgriFutures Australia (AgriFutures) is currently seeking support to address the investment priorities within the AgriFutures chicken meat Program 5 Year RD&E Plan 2022-2027 (the Plan). We acknowledge that many agricultural industries face the challenge and difficulty of attracting and retaining skilled workers to service their industries. Understanding future skills requirements and developing a Workforce Strategy will be critical to delivering on your 5 Year RD&E Plan 2022-2027. Our specific focus will be on priority 5, building people capability and a diverse and sustainable workforce. We plan to build on our understanding of the Australian Chicken Meat Industry as well as contextualise the knowledge acquired in other agricultural industry people capability projects to deliver on your needs. Our approach leverages the work done to date by the industry, including the Materiality Assessment, combined with KPMG’s extensive experience in developing both enterprise and industry workforce capabilities. Our team understands the opportunities that can be realised within such strategic priority and is looking forward to supporting AgriFutures in driving people capabilities for the Australian chicken meat industry. The development of a workforce strategy is necessary to ensure significant and consistent action to address the challenges related to the most material topics of the Australian chicken meat industry. The strategy has the potential to greatly improve the workforce outcomes of the industry.
